Emma Gangemi and Rebecca Santoso shot a 43 each as Downingtown East girls golf team defeated defeated rival Downingtown West, 180-188 at Whitfor Country Club on Tuesday. Both notched a birdie each. Gamgemi on the par-5 ninth and Santoso on the par-5 fourth. Ella Kikuchi added a 46 for the Cougars and Olivia Kirmayer added a 48. The Whippets were led by Malaina Druffner’s 42. WESTTOWN — The Westtown girls soccer team is having another tremendous year as they look to repeat as PAISAA champions later on in the fall. Taking on Villa Maria on Tuesday, they showed that they are more than able to pull the feat. Backed by two goals from Linnet Laiser and a stingy defense, the Moose stayed unbeaten as they fashioned a 2-0 victory to up their record to 10-0 overall.
