Scars. For some, top surgery scars are considered battle wounds. Wounds that document your journey and the adversities you’ve overcome to become the individual you always saw yourself as. For others these wounds are a constant reminder that exacerbates the dysphoria experienced on a daily basis. For those of us in the trans masculine community who struggle with our scars, there is finally an answer and his name is Shyne Ink....

I want you to keep these questions in the back of your mind as you read this story. What is your definition of strength? Do you consider yourself strong? . Despite some protections that have been rolled back for transgender individuals by the current US administration, when it comes to gender we are allowed to express ourselves freely. We have access to affirming therapists, healthcare and surgeries that allow us to tackle our dysphoria. [ 2,158 more words ]

Hey Fam! What’s up and welcome to Friday. My name is Jason (.redneck.genius) and I’m your Friday Editor here on the Instagram of Magazine ✌🏻💙🌱

I live on a 1-Acre Homestead in PA ( ) with my partner Virginia, my best friend and quadruped Dyson, and a “house-sized” named Hank.

I post IGTV videos every morning of the craziness that goes on on the and about the renovation of the we bought last June.
/intro

I’ve been on HRT treatment for 11 years. I named myself after the Red Power Ranger when I was 12, online, as a catfish until I was 17 and my mom found out. I did the best I could to explain why I’d done it and how I was feeling and the next day my mom gave me a packet of information she had printed out at work for me about what it means to be Transgender. It took me awhile to accept that label, I’d only seen folks like us on Jerry Springer. But! On my 18th birthday my family gave me new pronouns, including birthday cards that referred to me as Son, Brother, Nephew, and Grandson. My friends brought “it’s a boy balloons and bears” - I started HRT at 21 after a stint dating a le***an sent me back in the closet.

I received top surgery (keyhole) at 23-
I got a full hysterectomy at 31 (right after herniating my L-Five and healing from both of those took learning how to walk again. That s**t changes you).

Then I sold all of my@belongings and moved to 22-acres in the middle of the Catskills (New York State) until I met my girlfriend Virginia!

Fun Fact: I’m the 13th Generation American in my family, I read a lot about folks that have come here recently and their struggles and I feel empowered by them. I know the history of my family so well thanks to historians that I know we were against actions taken against the Natives. We were against expansion and unification of CT (We founded New Haven), and we were Union Soldiers or in the Civil. As colonist as it all is, I’m thankful we were on the “right side of history” and I can be proud of my heritage.

I’ll be posting three times and filming an IGTV video every Friday ✌🏻💙🌱 @ West Chester, Pennsylvania

I received top surgery (keyhole) at 23- I rushed my recovery (because a friend of mines girlfriend forced us to travel back three hours to Rochester after just waking up from the procedure instead of staying over at my moms) Thankfully my other buddy remembered a pillow so I could have a seatbelt on 😬 I took my bandages off too soon, had to go back to classes three days later, and I’ve never liked my chest since. This is common among us and it’s okay to talk about.

I got a full hysterectomy April 2018 right after herniating my L-Five and healing from both of those took learning how to walk again. That s**t changes you.
