Marriage has a way of revealing our default responses when life presses in.

For us, we’ve each had moments where we:
▫️Fight: Say something sharp
▫️Flight: Check out mentally
▫️Freeze: Worry, withdraw

But as we grow together, we’re learning a better way—pausing, talking, and praying first.

God’s peace can meet us right in the messy middle if we turn to Him—not after we’ve exhausted our own strength, but first. 💛

Following Jesus isn’t always easy.
Sometimes it costs comfort, pride, expectations… even relationships. But He never wastes the pain.

Today’s message is to remind us:
You don’t go through hard things because you did something wrong.
You go through them because you follow Jesus.
And in the middle of the fire—He reveals more of Himself.

We’re learning that it’s in the pressing that the faith gets real. That suffering isn’t a sign of abandonment, but of refinement. And that through it all… He’s worth it.

Lately, it feels like things are shifting quietly behind the scenes.

Sometimes I (Pearl) open the Bible searching for comfort—a promise to hold onto or a reminder that God sees me in the hard places.
But I’m learning this: The Bible isn’t just about me. It’s about God.

From Genesis to Revelation, it tells the story of who He is—faithful, holy, near, and good.

And the more I focus on Him, the more I find the peace and strength I was looking for in the first place.

May we never stop seeking Him—not just answers.

4 years ago today…
we stood before God, family, and friends—
and chose each other for life.

Not just for the good days or the photo-worthy moments, but for the ordinary ones too. For the teamwork, the quiet prayers, the laughter, and the learning.

Marriage has stretched us, strengthened us, and blessed us beyond words. We are not perfect, but by God’s grace, we keep choosing each other—every single day.
