My heart outside of me. At 6 weeks old I heard his heart beat before he was even formed and I cried. It's the most magnificent thing I have ever witnessed. Children are truly a gift from God. Being a mother is one of the most rewarding yet challenging roles I've ever had. Listening to his demands and watching tending to his big feelings can be overwhelming but, It's a journey of unconditional love, selflessness, and growth. Watching Richard navigate the world and learning alongside him is a true blessing.

This post is fashionably late, but in my defense, we’ve been on the move, soaking up every drop of summer adventure with my little Richard, well my tall boy. He's almost taller than I am at 8 years old. Time does fly.

My friends, I recently had the most soul-refreshing time reconnecting with nature. This waterfall is one of my all-time favorite spots, a little piece of magic tucked away in the wilderness.

To my surprise, the riverbed was mostly dry this time around, with just a gentle trickle meandering off to the side like it had other plans for the day. The last time I came, the water was roaring so wildly, and covered the surface. I couldn’t have stood where I’m standing now without becoming part of the river itself!

Anyway I am grateful for the peace, the beauty, and the quiet giggles that only nature seems to understand. I can't post it all today but as time goes by I will share a little hoping it will inspire you to get up and out. 💚🌿

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but don’t let anyone turn your light down or put you down because of their own insecurities. A lack of confidence can silently steal opportunities, delay your dreams, and keep you playing small in rooms you were meant to lead.

Some people will only see your power as a threat, not because you’ve done something wrong, but because they haven’t found theirs yet. Rise anyway. Shine anyway. Speak up anyway.

There is space for your voice, your vision, and your growth. Don’t wait for permission. Become your own confirmation.
Sometimes your spouse, your parents, your siblings, your family will make you feel than who you are, critize you constantly to make you feel like you're not good enough. Rise out of that and show them they don't control your destiny. It's not a good look that you can't think for yourself or be proactive about your accomplishments.
