Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was supposed to be belting out “One Less Stone” by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, but instead my brain and my mouth went on two separate field trips. Maybe it was the allergic attack. Out comes a word that absolutely does not belong in the song, and suddenly I’m remixing the lyrics like I just got hired as the accidental hype man. 😂 Windows down, volume up, wrong word flying through the air like it was meant to be there. At least I'm singing, and the rest of th song was okay. It's serious business, but comedy gospel station on the way. 😂 I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ! You ever sing the wrong words yet?

Well I decided to try my hand at painting different trees. Testing my new brushes.

Each brushstroke carries the stillness of nature and the quiet beauty of trees reaching for the sky while forming a canopy for shade. This is just for practice. Now I'll have to study trees. More ways to utilize my brain. What do you think?

Life is too short to shrink yourself to fit into spaces that don’t honor your worth. Surround yourself with people and places that uplift, encourage, and value you for exactly who you are.

When you choose to be where you’re celebrated, you unlock opportunities, joy, and growth that can’t flourish in environments that only “tolerate” you.

Remember: you don’t have to beg for a seat at the table, build your own, with people who cheer for you when you walk in the room.

My art inspiration for the day, You never know how it will turn out if you don't try.
This is my memory on canvas. Don't worry, I'm still doing everything else. I just added painting as a hobby.

When I was a little girl, the meadow was my playground. I lived with my brothers who often went off on their own, so I spent a lot of time exploring by myself, like a little Dora in the backyard and in the field next door.

I made my own fun: plaiting grass into hair, creating little adventures outside the world of Cabbage Patch and Barbie dolls. Those simple, imaginative moments in the meadow have stayed etched in my memory, and this painting is a reflection of them.

The flowers in this piece took me the longest to paint, but they carry the heart of the memory, the joy, solitude, and wonder of childhood play.

This is more than a painting. It’s a piece of my story. Jamaica land we love. Clarendon girl, nature lover.🎨🖌️🖼️🫟🇯🇲

I said something was coming after the election. This is just a brush of it. Something bigger is coming that people need to prepare for.

The flooding and traffic gridlock caused by the thunderstorm over the capital on Friday starkly reminded us of the drainage problem faced by Jamaica’s cities and towns, and raised questions about the status of the “master plan” to solve the crisis, which Prime Minister Andrew Holness promised more than eight years ago.

This is my best inspirational representation of Hopewell Rocks (also called the Flowerpot Rocks) in the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick in Canada. They’re world-famous for their towering red sandstone cliffs and sea stacks, shaped by the extreme tides of the Bay of Fundy, the highest tides in the world.

My painting captures that same essence, but from a broader view of the cliffside with majestic trees rising above a less common angle but still very characteristic of the area as in the photo from the Ahmazing page.

I met up in some road blocks that you will clearly see. But I'm going to study the painting and try again. It's all about angles
