Prayer will bring you comfort 🙏🏾
As we step into this 2026 year, I pause to ask God for what truly matters. Healing for our hearts. Restoration for what was lost. Strength for what still remains. Peace for our minds, wisdom for each step, and courage to keep moving forward in faith.
May our families be covered, our hearts guarded, and our paths led by His light. I hope you held your family close and prayed. Speak life into them, ask for divine favor for them, bless them and love them.

Yesterday was the birthday of June Peters-Brown, a woman whose strength, grace, and nurturing spirit speak louder than words. She is the kind of woman whose presence I have observed brings warmth, whose wisdom steadies others, and whose love leaves a lasting imprint wherever she goes. Happy 2026 to every soul who has walked this space with me, and to those just finding their way here. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your time, your support, your comments, your quiet watching, and even your questions. None of it is small.

This year, I am stepping forward with intention. Less noise. More truth. Less rushing. More purpose. 2026 is not about proving anything to anyone. It is about alignment, obedience to growth, and becoming who we have been praying to be.

If you are healing, I see you.
If you are rebuilding, I honor you.
If you are starting again, do it without shame.
If you are still standing after a hard season, you are already victorious.

IT COST YOU NOTHING to clap for someone while you are still climbing.
Nothing to leave a kind word, whisper a prayer, offer encouragement, or shine a little light.

It cost you Nothing to say, “I’m happy for you,” even when you are still waiting on your own breakthrough.
Yet somehow,
some people act like support comes with a price tag.
Like celebrating someone else’s win will somehow delay their own.

Like kindness is a resource they are afraid to run out of.
Let me say this plainly.
Jealousy is expensive.

Envy will wear you out.
And silence when someone else is progressing says more about your heart than your situation.
You do not need money to be decent.
You do not need perfection to be supportive.
You do not need full agreement to show respect.
You do not even need closeness to cheer for someone,
because real energy recognizes real effort.

And here is the part that is wild.
The ones who refuse to clap are often the loudest when you fall.
They scroll past your victories but zoom in on your mistakes.
They never ask how you are doing, yet swear they understand your whole story.
They watch quietly, then act surprised when you grow without them.

Let this season teach you something important.
It costs you nothing to show love,
but bitterness will cost you everything!

One keeps blessings moving.
The other keeps you stuck.

On Christmas Day, love, legacy, and history gathered around a remarkable woman, our favorite Jamaican grandma, who joyfully celebrated 97 beautiful years of life.

Born with resilience in her spirit and warmth in her smile, she represents a generation that carried culture, faith, and family through changing times.

Her life is a living testimony of strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. From the wisdom in her stories to the comfort in her laughter, she has poured into generations with grace.

At the heart of her joy is her grandson, Lucas Wong, who proudly carries her legacy forward. Through him, and through every life she has touched, her values live on: respect, perseverance, family, and gratitude.

To reach 97 years is a blessing. To reach it surrounded by love, family, and celebration on Christmas Day is nothing short of extraordinary. Today we honor not just her age, but her impact, a true matriarch, a cultural treasure, and a reminder that our elders are living history.

I walk past the piano every single day.
I help my son learn.
I listen.
I encourage.
But I never touch it.
Until today.
He looked at me and said, “Mom, I want you to play something.”
Not teach. Not correct. Play. He asked me a million times,
So for the first time, I sat down and followed the notes with trembling fingers. I didn’t fully know what I was doing. I didn’t know where it would lead. But I knew why.
Because sometimes love dares you.
Sometimes your child pulls courage out of you that you didn’t know you had.
And sometimes learning something new isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence.
I played “Oh Holy Night” (yes, Holy Night… not a nightmare, don’t judge me).
Every note was clumsy. Every pause unsure.
But it was real. And it was for him.
Worth learning something new.
Because of him.
For him. 🎹❤️

I was feeling confident, twirling it out 💃🏾

I didn’t stay down.
Two men stepped in and helped me up.
Life is like that sometimes.
You can be strong, prepared, and still trip.
