She tore through the concerto’s ferocious passagework with steely precision. She delivered lyrical sections in a dreamy, almost other-worldly cadence. She bounced musical ideas off the orchestra and caught them as they returned, like a major-league infielder tossing a ball around.”

On a predictably couch-ridden, flue-ish morning after a 15-concert streak in 5 weeks, it turns out the only thing that really gets me through is some Joe Exotic on Netflix with a hot tea.

Back in business next week. See you then!
