Shout out to our client Preni for achieving incredible results with personal training 🥳
We want to also break common myths when it comes to muscle and weight loss.
Myth 1) Woman will get bulky with strength training.
Preni has consistently increased her lifts. From doing over 300lb hip thrusts to getting her first 10 push ups in a row. Her muscle mass has climbed has gone up 3lbs during this time while still losing weight overall. Helping her stay lean and tone.
Myth 2) You have to give up everything you like.
Preni regularly enjoyed wine, bread, and pastas throughout this journey. She did cut back portions and limit when she had them but when she wanted to enjoy some she was able to without compromising her goals.
Myth 3) Lifting weights won’t help you lose weight.
People think that to lose weight you need to just cut all the food and do endless amounts of cardio. But the reality is that lifting helps you transform your physique and a lot of times it looks a lot more like what you want. More muscle means more “tone” and a leaner body. You can also eat like a human and still lose weight.
Myth 4) Results are consistent and if not it’s not working.
The reality is that in the short term you may see big drops but results can vary, especially when you’re not being extremely restrictive. the second photo shows her most recent results which did include an increase in weight. But her muscle mass jumped back up and her trend is still good. So we dial in the food and workout and keep going.
