My first experience as a "guest star" was on the "Malcolm & Eddie " show. I was Eddie Griffin's date for that episode. Malcolm was a producer of the show as well. I remember how warm and welcoming he was. I couldn't get over that I grew up watching the reruns of The Cosby Show and there I was, spending one week on set with THEO!!! Fast forward to the NAACP Theatre award in Los Angeles. Malcom and Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) were the hosts. The chemistry between these two was infectious. So it came as no surprise when the following year they teamed up for a short lived tv show. Anyway, at the award ceremony, I got a chance to ask Malcolm to make sure he pronounced Nadège August correctly.(I was nominated for Eugene O'Neill's play "Desire Under The Elms"- Malcolm promised he would pronounce "Nadège" correctly. He didn't- and that became a bit of a running joke over the years. Rest In Power Malcolm-Jamal Warner Thank you for being our big brother. And may be first crush ;-)
