The Mazer has had the Diana Press collection for decades. Founded in Maryland, then moved to Oakland, Diana published works by Rita Mae Brown and Judy Grahn, Pat Parker and reprinted Dr. Jeannette Foster’s pioneering S*x Variant Women in Literature.

These pioneers were some of the founders of the Daughters of Bilitis (DOB). The first Le***an organization in the U.S. started over 70 years ago!
