Dirk Burton celebrated 2025 milestones: the new Canyon View Community & Arts Center, public art installations, an expanded Wheels Park, and an entertainment stage at Veterans Memorial Park. West Jordan services also advanced with police drones, a new fire engine, road improvements, and more.

“Art in West Jordan isn’t just for galleries—it’s everywhere, connecting residents and celebrating who we are,” Burton said.

Landmarks a major throughline as Burton lists arts center, wheels park and water tank as major achievements.

The library’s Winter Reading Challenge encouraged reading of all ages to set a personal reading goal for 20 days in January or February. Participants earned prizes, a free book, and a 50% off ticket to a Real Salt Lake or Utah Royals game. All reading counts—books, magazines, articles, or audiobooks. Challenges were flexible, accessible, and supported by library staff across all 18 branches.

“This challenge is totally doable for anyone, even if it’s 10 minutes a day.”
