Scratch another one off the bucket list… Catching in Tampa Bay! Spent the morning tossing live shrimp around docks for snook and catching trout on artificials. Thanks so much to Alex Mayfield for the opportunity to make some memories on the water. Thanks to my wonderful wife for the freedom to do so! This is what living the is all about!

Sunrise session photo dump. The surf is jam packed with maybe millions of greenbacks! I’m fishing g waist deep, birds are diving everywhere, mackeral are going completely airborne 3’ away, dolphins are jumping, the activity level is through the roof. I’m gonna soak up as much of this warm salt air as possible before headed home!

Had an epic day in the surf, waist deep in water surrounded by thousands of baitfish being chased by mackeral, jacks, seatrout, and ladyfish. Had a delicious homemade blackened redfish dinner, watched the sunset and ended the day with this awesome I can’t believe these guys are in 2’ of water. I can’t believe I caught him on a mono leader 😅 . Counting my blessings?

Today was a day that will be with me always. It ended with a new 21”PB on my last cast and probably 90” of fish that came in the last 2 hours on the river.

I haven’t been on the water in close to 2 months. September has generally been a tough time for me in the last. My expectations were pretty low, but I was getting out in the water and meeting up with friends and that’s really all that mattered. The bite was tough until we found em. I ended up tying my new PB from earlier this year 19.75” and then 40 minutes later out the big girl in the net.

I brought the kitchen sink with me, 6 rods and a crate full of tackle. 3 of those rods never touched the water. My favorite part of fishing is putting the pieces together. Today puzzle was tough but the hot bait is getting retired and going on the wall.

So grateful for the today, the memories, the lessons and the blessings.
