Yes, this is from the guitarist of , but if you knew our dynamic, you’d know this is a FEAT! Especially for mix 1.
Ever since our first song together, as a band, we were always brutally honest with each other. It sounds rough, but it comes from a place of love and desire to truly be better and write better; and it always ends in all of us laughing. I do believe it has contributed something positive to what we write also. It enables us to explore a direction that wasn’t thought of before. It makes you really think about the original part. It creates dimension and makes things more interesting….or not and we go back to the original way, nbd. But having the ability to voice it and explore alternatives is SO IMPORTANT. One of my professors in college said, “it takes one person to write a good song, but a collective to write a great one.” I do think that’s generally true, with some exceptions. Two heads are better than one I guess?
I’m sure there will be revisions to what’s there along the way, but receiving this from one of your toughest critics…..it’s nice 👍
…think I’m gonna get this printed on canvas and hang it in the studio some where 🤔
