Investigations are underway in Bethel Park over a possible hit and run. 🚨

Tom the Turkey was struck and killed by a vehicle near his familiar hangout around Library and Logan roads. Authorities are now looking into the circumstances surrounding his death as the community mourns the turkey who became a local celebrity for stopping traffic, strolling through crosswalks and generally acting like the intersection belonged to him.

Tom may be gone, but apparently he’s got one last traffic jam left in him. 🦃💔

Former Pitt quarterback Phil Jurkovec was arrested after police say he stole a box truck from the valet garage at AHN Wexford Hospital. The truck was being loaded with tables and chairs when authorities say Jurkovec got behind the wheel and drove off. Unfortunately for the former QB, the truck had GPS, and police tracked it down in Cranberry Township. He now faces two felony charges.

Turns out the box truck was easier to move downfield than Pitt’s offense in 2023. 🏈🚚

RIP TOM 🦃

Just days after becoming a local celebrity for casually stopping traffic around Library and Logan roads in Bethel Park, Tom the turkey has reportedly been struck and killed by a vehicle.

Tom had become a familiar sight in the area, wandering through the intersection, visiting nearby businesses and occasionally bringing traffic to a standstill. Earlier this week, officials said he appeared healthy and hoped that if people stopped feeding him, he might eventually move along to a safer area.

Sadly, Tom’s traffic-stopping days appear to have come to an end. For a turkey who had absolutely no respect for the rules of the road, he sure made a lot of people smile.

Rest easy, Tom. Bethel Park traffic won’t be the same without you. 🦃💐

Joey Porter Jr.’s 2026 season is still waiting to get started. The Steelers cornerback has officially been ruled out against New England, marking his second straight missed game with a lingering back issue. Porter was limited in practice throughout the week, and ESPN reports the injury has continued to flare up when he tries to go full speed. Pittsburgh is now hoping he can return next week against Cincinnati.
