The Arts with Passion (TAWP), a Theatre Company, was designed to educate, entertain, and empower individuals about 'The Arts' in various local communities with a focus on low to moderate income individuals. TAWP was created in July 2014 by Pashen Sims following a fundraiser project she chaired for a local non-profit organization, New Light Economic Empowerment Cooperation (NLEEC). NLEEC, designed to empower people to make a difference in their community, asked their members to come up with ideas for fundraisers. Sims, as a member of NLEEC, suggested doing a Dinner Theatre. To Sims’ surprise, the organization agreed. She chose “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry, which became her directorial debut. The success of this production encouraged her to form an organization that would provide a platform for various artists, year round. TAWP consists of a group of talented people who love The Arts and enjoy educating, entertaining, and empowering individuals about The Arts. This group includes creative actors, crew members, directors, set designers, and more.

I didn't grow up with Super Heroes, I grew up with monsters. I love the atmosphere of those gothic Universal and Hammer horror films. My grade here is a bit more modern, but my lighting setup is pretty old school. I hope to one day get to shoot a Gothic classic.
