Amy Chu is coming to Garden State Comic's Winter Fest Saturday January 24th. Amy is a writer for comics and animation. Her most recent graphic novel is Carmilla: The Eternal (Dark Horse / Berger Books) the final book in the award winning Carmilla the First Vampire trilogy. For Marvel she wrote the miniseries Emma Frost: White Queen, and for Gearbox/Dark Horse the Borderlands mini series Moxxi's Mysterious Memento. She worked on two Netflix shows including the anime series DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. Her credits include characters such as Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Deadpool, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and Iron Man. Known for her contemporary run on the sword fantasy Red Sonja, she is also the first female writer on the KISS and Green Hornet series. Her children's graphic novels include Turning Red (Pixar), Sea Sirens and Sky Island (Penguin Random House) and Fighting to Belong! for The Asian American Foundation. Amy is a frequent speaker at comic cons and schools and libraries, and has served as a Harvey and Ringo awards judge. She is on the faculty of the Kubert School and the School of Visual Arts and a board member of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Bud LaRosa is coming to Garden State Comic Winter Fest January 24-25th at the Sussex Fairgrounds in Augusta NJ!
Born in Brooklyn N.Y. and selling his First piece of artwork at age 11. A comic book mural for a comic store wall. Bud has not stopped producing artwork since, that was forty years ago.
Bud trained formally at the illustrious Art Students League of New York and In 1985 he began a full time career as a freelance artist for Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Neal Adams Continuity Studios under Neal Adams. This is not only where he perfected his craft, but also where he learned discipline, keeping deadlines, working under great pressure and how to grow creatively.
Bud said, “Being in the comic book industry for eighteen years taught me the dramatic cinema style which lends itself to my other areas of art, painting, photographic or otherwise.”
Bud worked as regular on The Amazing Spiderman, X-Man, X-Force, The F.F. ,The X-Men, Wolverine, Conan, Dead Pool, The Hulk, Blood of the Demon, The Titans, Big Hero Six, Dr. Strange, and a multitude of others.
In 2001, Bud was involved in a severe car accident. As a result, he started to paint in Oils and Watercolors seriously. His work has been showing at all the finer galleries all across the United States, including the Chelsea area in Manhattan N.Y. and San Francisco CA.

Rudy Nebres is coming to Garden State Comic Winter Fest Sunday January 25th Rudy is a Filipino comics artist who has worked mostly as an inker in the American comic book industry. Known for his lush, detailed inklines, Nebres' most prolific period was in the late 1970s and the 1980s.
Before coming to the United States, Nebres studied fine arts in the Philippines and worked in the Filipino comics industry for such publishers as Bulaklak Publishing, ACE Publications, and Graphic Arts Service.
Rudy then went to start working for DC Comics in January 1973 . He has also worked for Warren , Marvel , Archie , Continuity , Valiant and others over the years.
Rudy received an Inkpot Award at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2012. In 2017, he was awarded the Inkwell Awards Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame award for "an inking career in American comic books of outstanding accomplishment."

Bob Sharen is coming to Garden State Comic Fest Winter Fest Saturday January 24th!
Bob started as a colorist for Marvel in 1978. He’s had long runs on the Spider-man books, Captain America, GI Joe, Master of Kung Fu, Alien Legion, Iron Man, West Coast Avengers, and at one time or another worked on just about every Marvel title. Since leaving Marvel he is mostly doing hand coloring on fan commissioned one-of-a-kind recreations, and is available for digital coloring.

Big Congrats to Ben Mahler for winning the 1st ever GSCF Vineland Cosplay Contest! Ben did an amazing job with his Cosmic Ghost Rider and it is pretty cool that a Ghost Rider won both Vineland and at Codey this year.

Amy Jo Johnson is coming to Garden State Comic Fest June 27-28th at the Codey Arena in West Orange NJ!
Amy is a multi-faceted artist with over twenty
years of experience in the entertainment industry. With her main
focus now being behind the camera, Johnson’s feature film
TAMMY’S ALWAYS DYING, starring Felicity Huffman, had its
world premiere at the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM
FESTIVAL. She also made her foray into tv directing on CW's
SUPERMAN & LOIS season 2. Johnson has multiple projects in
development. Before turning her attention towards writing and
directing, the Cape Cod native worked for over 20 years as an
accomplished actor, starring in popular television shows such as
FELICITY, MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS, and
FLASHPOINT.

Linda has had an extensive career for over 30 years, lending her voice to numerous animated series, films, and commercials. Linda is widely recognized as the voice of Serena Tsukino/Sailor Moon in the second half of the original English dub of the anime series.
