A Discovery Channel reality TV star has been accused of murdering his cellmate just days before he was scheduled to be released from jail.

Authorities say Chad Ollinger, a cast member of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, was involved in a physical altercation with his cellmate inside the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on December 26. Corrections officers later found the other inmate unresponsive with apparent blunt force injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ollinger, 41, was originally being held on a contempt of court charge and was reportedly set to be released in January. Following the incident, he was rebooked on an open murder charge and is now being held without bail as the investigation continues.

Police have not released the identity of the deceased inmate, and no further details about the alleged altercation have been made public. The case remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Division.
