Boni’s Back!

Now Boni has baby fine hair so I want to keep as much density as possible. All one length would keep the most amount of hair but then she would have zero shape, style or movement. Layering removes weight, weight fine hair can’t afford to lose so that really wasn’t an option. Texturizing still removes weight but in a far less drastic amount so that was the best option. It still builds shape and movement but retains a lot more hair.

So… we built a little graduation in the back without it looking “stacked”. Texturized the interior so it would give the feel of layers without wiping out all of her hair.

Blowdried with my AirLight pro since I have full control of the temperature of the blow dryer. Did you know the AirLight Pro has an app that gives you up to 13 heat settings so you can fully customize it to your exact hair type? Pretty awesome!

Whyyy do I use a texturizing shear to create a blunt line? A straight shear is like a pen and a texturizing shear is like a pencil. Sometimes I like to sketch in the line 🙂

My shear only has 10 teeth so it removes a lot of hair. Would recommend this with a blending shear🙂

Every great hairstyle starts with a proper blowout! Follow these tips especially if you fight frizz🙂

1. Rough dry your hair approximately 50-70% before you begin round brushing.

2. ALWAYS direct airflow DOWN the hair shaft to get the most polish and shine.

3. Maintain tension throughout each section but don’t place nozzle directly on the brush.

4. Tools are everything! This new Airlight Pro blowdryer from is the BEST blowdryer I’ve used in my career. The use of Infrared light as its heat source evaporates water molecules while maintaining natural moisture in the hair. When the hair is properly hydrated it remains softer, healthier and more receptive to curl and volume.
