Is this a real !?

One of the things I love most about MotoAmerica is getting a glimpse behind the curtain.

After the race, I made my way back over to the Indian Motorcycle Racing pits to check out the bikes. Most of them had already returned, but one took noticeably longer to arrive. When it finally rolled in, it was clear the bike had been down during the race.

The good news? The rider was okay.

I came back later in the day and caught the crew hard at work bringing the machine back to life. Watching the team tear into it, replace damaged parts, and get everything functioning again was a reminder of just how much work happens behind the scenes that fans never get to see.

By the time I filmed this, the was already looking like it had never been in a crash. The bodywork and decals were still off, but the heart of the machine was beating again.

And while the idle sounds pretty tame here, trust me—hearing one of these factory racing ripping down the paddock and flying around the track is a completely different experience.

Moments like this are why I enjoy spending time in the pits as much as I enjoy watching the racing itself.
