A 26-7 win for the West Virginia squad in the 31st edition of the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis W.Va.-Ohio All-Star Football Classic Friday at Bill Hanlin Stadium in St. Marys had plenty of Doddridge County Bulldog highlights.
Landon Thomas was named MVP for the Mountain State team, hauling in four passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Brysen Dixon threw for 134 yards and a pair of scores behind the blocking of Ty McCloud.
Jerod Trent had an 11-yard reception and a nice kick return.
Defensively, Brycen Eidel and Calob James kept ringing up tackles with Eidel recovering an Ohio fumble and James coming up with a quarterback sack on fourth down to end a drive by the Buckeyes.

Six Doddridge County athletes will be playing Friday in the 31st edition of the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis W.Va.-Ohio All-Star Football Classic at Bill Hanlin Stadium in St. Marys.
Come out and support a worthy cause and these graduating Bulldog seniors — Brysen Dixon, Brycen Eidel, Calob James, Ty McCloud, Landon Thomas and Jerod Trent — one more time.
Game time is 7 p.m.
All tickets are $7 and all proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for research into finding a cure for cystic fibrosis, a debilitating disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems.

The Doddridge County Bulldogs are advancing to the state baseball tournament for the first time in 32 years.
The Bulldogs rallied from a 4-2 deficit Monday to defeat Williamstown, 5-4, in 10 innings to advance from the Class AA Region I baseball tournament.
Pairings for the state tournament will be announced once all regionals are completed.

Today's baseball game in the Class AA Region I tournament between Williamstown and Doddridge County has been postponed by weather.
They have been rescheduled to play at 6 p.m. Monday at Doddridge County.
