While inclement weather may have shortened the contest, it did little to slow down Doddridge County in a 48-0 rout of Ritchie County that was called at halftime.
The Bulldogs' scores came in surges as three times scored touchdowns within two minutes of crossing the goal line a first time.
Sophomore Kyle Satterfield opened and closed the scoring for DCHS, first scooping up a Rebels' fumble and returning it 19 yards for a touchdown just seven seconds into the contest.
Satterfield then added a 30-yard fumble return for a TD with 3:34 left in the first half.
Brycen Eidel had TD runs of 59 and 44 yards, Landon Thomas pulled in both a 10-yard and nine-yard TD pass from Brysen Dixon and Lyric Blake scored on a two-yard run with Brandon Davis booting 6-of-7 PAT kicks true.
Defensively, Blake and Dayne Murphy picked off the Ritchie County offense twice to go with Satterfield two scoop-and-scores.
The Bulldogs rang up 297 yards in the first half, while holding the Rebels to 42 yards of offense and one first down.

Doddridge County opened the high school golf season in spectacular fashion Tuesday, finishing in a three-way tie for first place in the Collins-Metz Memorial LKC Scramble and then winning the championship on the second hole of sudden death at the North Bend Golf Course in Harrisville.
The Bulldogs' foursome of Caleb Sutton, Trayton Hall, Cooper Hall and Jerod Trent shot a combined 13-under par, 59 in the best-ball formatted tournament along with St. Marys and Wirt County.
Wirt County was eliminated from contention in the first playoff hole, finishing with a par score, while Doddridge County and St. Marys advanced with birdies.
The second hole became a one-on-one matchup between Sutton and the Blue Devils' Tripp Morrison. Morrison was wide left with his tee shot, but had a nice lob onto the green with his second shot before missing his birdie attempt. Sutton's tee shot land just short of the green and he laid it up on the putting surface about five foot from the hole on his second shot. The DCHS senior then drained the birdie putt to seal the win.
Bulldogs' 'B' team of Brayden Martin, Lucas Hutson, Carson Bever and Porter Kelley finished 14th with a score of 4-under, 68 in a field of 16 teams.
