The Coalition Taskforce Mediation Committee (CTMC) held its 7th Strategic Session at Baobab Hotel and opened nominations for a unity opposition flagbearer for the Dec 5, 2026 Presidential Election.

Key point

1.Rules set: Flagbearer must have competence, integrity, and national acceptability.
2. Plans agreed: Reviewed 25-Point Common Agenda and adopted a coalition framework.
3. Leaders spoke: Chairman Prof. Yerro Mballow called for unity. Host Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang pushed “Gambia First”focusing on governance, youth, and economy.

Nominations go to CTMC Secretariat for review. 8th Session is June 13, 2026 at Metzy Residence, hosted by Ambassador Essa Bokar Sey.
