Typically, I’m a Christmas Eve girlie but this year has been sooo CHAOTIC! I still do not have the gifts wrapped and bagged under my tree 🫣.

I haven’t been as dedicated as I used to be when it comes to content creation for brands.

I am passionate about content and I have been working on shaking off this depression and anxiety I have been feeling lately. I want to go back to not only having fun online, but also working with some more amazing brands! I enjoy creating, filming, editing, etc., as it brings me happiness to know that I’m generating brand awareness and so much more with my content.

This is an appreciation post for all the brands l’ve worked with in the past! I want to thank each and eveyone of you for working with me and my family. I hope our partnerships were as enjoyable as l believe them to have been.

I wish I had gotten Eli’s reaction for this one as it was the only one he seemed to enjoy or reaction too. Eden on the other hand, laughed for a second but just wanted her 😂

Elf On The Shelf: Day 2 - Nurse Elf

Day 2 was rough! Eli had a high fever, Eden also started showing signs of being sick. That night/morning was filled with discomfort, mucus, tons of coughs and sneezes, light crying and a lot of waking to cuddle me in bed. (Mind you, we had to up and out of the house first thing in the morning for Eden’s dentist appointment)

So Christmas brought out all the meds and get well tools so could for the kids (mainly Eli).

The saddest thing that I realized last night was the fact that my children won’t experience many of the amazing things I experienced in my childhood. Like Trick or Treating isn’t the same as it used to be. The things that made my childhood great is really fading 😔

Last night, we dressed up as Arthur, D.W, & Jane Reid (Mom)

I know, I know, our ears are giving more cat or dog (Paw Patrol to be exact) and not aardvark. I wish I made the ears to match the cartoon but I think our costumes still turn out okay.

For the parents going through the their child’s autism diagnosis. Do not feel discouraged when answering any questionnaires. 🤍Sometimes, a large amount of the questions aren’t applicable to your child. In Ontario, the questions can range for children 1-8 years old.

If you have a friend that is a parent to an autistic child, don’t forget to invite them out sometimes. I know us special needs parents may struggle with taking time for ourselves but trust me… we need time for us and we will appreciate you so much

Does perfect parenting exist?

I don’t think so.

At the end of the day we are humans. We step into the role of being a parent while being victims of childhood traumas and issues. We are also just trying to live a healthy life in this crazy world.

All we can do is raise our children to be their best self while being the best parent we can possibly be.

We will make mistakes, we may disappoint/hurt our children emotionally, we may bring a smile to their faces, we may have the greatest bond with them… and the list goes on.

There’s so much that can happen in your journey as a parent.

But my biggest wish is that my kids will look back at their childhood and feel like I was the best mom… that I was a “perfect parent“ in their eyes.
