🚨 Breaking News: Carlos Sainz Joins Williams! 🚨

Carlos Sainz has committed his future to Williams, signing a multi-year deal to race alongside Alex Albon starting in 2025! After losing his Ferrari seat to Lewis Hamilton, Sainz had plenty of suitors but ultimately chose James Vowles’ Williams project.

Sainz will race for Williams in 2025 and 2026, providing continuity as the team navigates major regulation changes, including new aerodynamic profiles and 100% sustainable fuel.

🗣️ Carlos Sainz: “I am very happy to announce that I will be joining Williams Racing from 2025 onwards. Williams is the right place for me to continue my F1 journey, and I am extremely proud to join such a historic and successful team. The goal of bringing Williams back to the front of the grid is a challenge I embrace with excitement and positivity.”

🗣️ James Vowles: “Carlos joining Williams is a strong statement of intent. He brings experience, performance, and a fierce drive to extract every millisecond out of the team and car. In Alex and Carlos, we will have one of the most formidable driver line-ups on the grid.”

With Sainz joining, Logan Sargeant will be vacating his seat next year. Williams promises to support Logan as he continues his racing career.

🏎️ Track Spotlight: Spa-Francorchamps! 🇧🇪

Built: 1921 using public roads between Francorchamps, Malmedy, and Stavelot. Redeveloped in 1979, now the longest F1 track at 7.004km.

First Grand Prix: Hosted its first F1 race in 1950, won by Juan Manuel Fangio.

Circuit: Loved for its long straights and fast corners. Unique weather means it can be raining on one part and dry on another. Don’t miss the thrilling Eau Rouge and Raidillon!

Why Go? A classic European track in the beautiful Ardennes forest. Only the greatest conquer Spa, like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

Best View: The grandstand near Eau Rouge offers the best view of the iconic corner, while Pouhon corner grandstand gives you the best trackside atmosphere.

🏗️ Built: 1969 (Österreichring), revamped in 1995-96 by Hermann Tilke into the Red Bull Ring we know today.

BWT Alpine F1 Team is thrilled to announce that Pierre Gasly has committed to a long-term contract extension with the team, taking him into the 2025 season and beyond! 🏎️💨

In his second season with Alpine, the Frenchman has shown incredible dedication and skill. With 140 race starts in Formula 1 and 32 starts with Alpine, Pierre has already secured 67 points and brought home two podiums: 🥉 third place in the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix Sprint Race and 🥉 third place in the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. 🇧🇪🇳🇱

Pierre Gasly: “I feel very much at home at this great team. I enjoy being a real part of both the Formula 1 project and the wider Alpine Cars vision. While on-track it’s been a challenging season so far, I remain faithful to the project and I am not going anywhere. Mercedes reserve Mick Schumacher is set to make his Formula 1 test debut for Alpine! Schumacher, who last raced in F1 in 2022, is currently part of Alpine’s Hypercar line-up in the World Endurance Championship.

Alpine’s F1 division is on the hunt for a replacement for Esteban Ocon, who will leave the team at the end of the current season. While several names are in the mix, including Carlos Sainz, team principal Bruno Famin has confirmed that Schumacher is a strong contender.

🗓️ Mark Your Calendars:
On July 3, Schumacher will test the A522 car at Circuit Paul Ricard. This car helped Alpine secure fourth place in the 2022 Constructors’ Championship.

Jack Doohan, part of Alpine’s F1 academy, will also be testing on the same day. Doohan has already participated in a free practice session with Alpine this year and is eager to prove he’s ready for an F1 debut.
