If you have ever met our Mama Roar, you know she is a force of nature ... and consider yourself blessed when she is in your corner!

Truth be told, so many people have careers in our creative landscape, including broadcasting. She is also a passionate volunteer of everything equestrian - no doubt you've seen her at horse trails or at The Royal Winter Fair, during the Indoor Eventing Challenge.

Ottawa.. what a fabulous way to start the New Year with an epic wedding ( and ) followed by a staycation at the iconic

A few wonderful days spent in the company of remarkable people, old friends and new, some we met during our walks. We visited old haunts from my university days and discovered local boutiques and treasures along the way.

If vintage clothing and jewelry is your vibe RUN to for unique one-of-a-kind treasures including Mandy, the store owner.

Check out and then head up to boutique in centretown for some vintage and retro items. If you love thrifting check out on Bank Street and . Also check out , located in the Byward Market.

When in Ottawa you must visit Colonnade Pizza ... we shared a pie at the original location on Metcalfe St. The Colonnade is an Ottawa institution and it brought back fond memories of my university days.

For dinner we highly recommend
in the Byward Market. Everything on the menu was outstanding especially the tuna crudo and the wagyu beef dumplings.
