What an amazing week for Jessica Phoenix - Phoenix Equestrian Team and Lacey at The World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany Fédération Equestre Internationale as the sole pair representing Canada.

Out of a starting field of 87 horse-and-rider combinations from around the world, Jessica and Fluorescent Adolescent captured hearts at the event and beyond, finishing an impressive 30th.

Dressage: You delivered a personal best (for this horse), with Lacey appearing to glide and float effortlessly across the ring at times.

Cross-Country: Twenty horse-and-rider combinations either retired or were eliminated over an incredibly complex and challenging course. Of course, you and Lacey rose to the challenge, eating up the course with energy to spare.

Show Jumping: You competed in a jam-packed arena filled with passionate eventing fans. You could feel the excitement and energy even while watching on the screen.

Jessica, you continue to inspire with your incredible talent, humility, kindness, and sheer love for Lacey. Your heartfelt and joyful cry to Lacey after Show Jumping, “You are exceptional!”, could just as easily be said about you.

You are exceptional, Jessica. A remarkable ambassador for the sport of eventing and our country.

We are so proud of you. ❤😘🇨🇦🍁

If you have ever met our Mama Roar, you know she is a force of nature ... and consider yourself blessed when she is in your corner!

Truth be told, so many people have careers in our creative landscape, including broadcasting. She is also a passionate volunteer of everything equestrian - no doubt you've seen her at horse trails or at The Royal Winter Fair, during the Indoor Eventing Challenge.
