Social media shows a lot of the truth. And as I always say, I love it for what it can do: bring people together, tell stories, and share truths.

This was both professionally and personally the hardest week I’ve had in 2026. One thing piled on top of another: friends getting sick, family needing support through something scary, and the unexpected passing of a friend. And when you own a business, it doesn’t stop. You do your best to keep going.

This isn’t a pity party. It’s just the truth. We all have stuff.

I teach a course called Social Media for Good, about using social media for the right reasons: for brands, for kids, and for partnerships.

Sahily and I met almost 10 years ago at a networking event. We were literally set up on a date, as we like to say, and we’ve crossed paths at events we’ve both attended, events we’ve both worked at, and through life.

Grand Fiesta Decor | Luxury Event Styling is exceptional at what she does, and I’m not biased when I say that. Even if I didn’t know her, I’d still feel the same way. But it’s her heart that makes her so special: the way she sees people for who they are and pours that into her work.

When we say “women support women” or “support local,” it’s not just a catchy phrase. This is exactly what it means. So much happens behind the scenes that none of us see or talk about. We learn to be strong when things are hard. We learn quickly who we can turn to and trust, and who we can’t. We learn who truly values us and understands that we’re always working our hardest for them, even when the work goes unseen or isn’t something we shout from the rooftops.

I could write a novel, (this is slightly one) but this is without a doubt one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received. Thank you for showing up at my door from miles away with your beautiful daughter.

I hope this reminds you to lead with your heart, and surround yourself with people who know your worth. Owning a business is hard, but it’s also the best thing I’ve ever done.

So tag or tell someone they are amazing💕

Sooo this happened.

Shoutout to Alison for taking one for the team and learning something new… oh wait, it’s not new. It’s “don’t put the cart before the horse” meets “you can’t expect clients to magically appear.” 😅

Being an entrepreneur is hard.

Some days you’re the CEO, the marketing department, the tech support and the person who forgot to eat lunch.

And most of it happens alone.

When I left corporate, I didn’t expect to miss my coworkers as much as I did. The hallway chats. The quick “can you look at this?” Having people who just got it. So I created EntrepreneuHER because so many women I talked to had the same feeling. What it has become is so much more than that. A support system, brain storming partners, and friends who show up through it all.

Look at some of the women in this group. Many of them pivoted to get here. Some stayed in the industry they started in and found a new way to do the work. Others walked into something completely different. Every one of them is continuing to grow, evolve and put themselves out there.

Follow these women. Support their businesses. They’re out there making things happen, and I can’t recommend every one of them enough.

If you’re launching or growing a business in Westchester, NY we have 2 current openings in EntrepreneuHER. You don’t have to do this alone. DM me “entrepreneuher” and I’d love to have you join us EntrepreneuHER.

And if you’re inspired by their stories and considering exploring your next chapter, that’s exactly what my group Career Compass is for. It’s a virtual group coaching program where you find your direction and balance your ambition with motherhood. Together we will figure out what success means to you today. The next cohort starts 10/13. Come to the open house tomorrow Thursday, 10/1 (link in bio Dara Astmann | Career Clarity Coach), and see if it’s the right fit.

One day late feels fitting for this post. As a girl mom x2, happy National Daughters Day, hour, day, month, year… whatever it is. 💕

For now, I’m going to enjoy all the snuggles and love and try not to think too hard about the pr***en and teen years.

To the mom I overheard at the nail salon telling her daughter a few months ago that good grades are all that matter: I’m pretty sure our friendship was over before it started. 🫣👍

And to all my fellow girl moms: if you know, you know. We teach 1–20 lessons a day. If I could sum them all up, it would be this. And so much more.

Nothing but love for my Spice Girls. 🌶️

Per my last email ep. 207!? ”sooo cringe.” Definitely watch until the end.

Add to the list. On this very unique Wednesday, I figured I’d add some comedic relief.

Drop your favorite. Hope yours already made the cut, but there are plenty of good ones for you. yes the ones that give you hives, make you cringe and make you run away from your laptop.

We’ll be adding “how many times have we discussed this??” to the roster.
