The Westerly Bulldogs earned a hard-fought 54–43 win over the East Greenwich Avengers on Wednesday night, December 17, in a game that lived up to its physical, competitive reputation.
Farris Nader led the way for Westerly with a dominant performance, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds. His presence on both ends of the floor set the tone, and he was later named the Ed French & Sons Player of the Game. Brayden Antoch added a strong all-around effort with 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Caleb Williams chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds to round out a balanced Bulldogs attack.
East Greenwich kept things tight throughout, as they always do. Aiden Glynn paced the Avengers with 11 points, and Cole Bianco followed with 10, helping keep the game within reach deep into the second half.
Ultimately, the difference came on the glass. Westerly’s rebounding, especially on the offensive end, created extra possessions and timely scoring opportunities that proved decisive against a tough and disciplined East Greenwich squad.
The Bulldogs will look to carry that momentum into their next matchup when they head on the road to Coventry on Friday at 6:30pm
