The Westfield State softball team won its first championship in school history on Sunday with the help of local stars Sarah Hough (Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District, Allyssa Slack (Westfield Technical Academy, coach Joe Hough and others.

For the first time in school history, the Westfield State University softball team is the MASCAC champion.

After struggling to find their footing during a two-game skid in mid-to-late December, the Westfield Technical Academy boys basketball team came together for a good cause and now it’s paying dividends on the court.
