North Central Beekeepers Club

North Central Beekeepers Club A club for all levels of beekeeper, centrally north of Indianapolis. We meet the 3rd Wed of the month, at 6:30pm, at Cool Creek Park Nature Ctr.

We utilize our FB GROUP to distribute/disperse club info. We also have a YT channel where we sometimes post recordings of our meetings.

I have a friend (not on FB) who grafted queens and will have queen cells available for $5/each, next Monday. Your hive will need to be queenless, with some brood. You'll need to pick up the queen cell in Putnam County. DM Tracy Pielemeier for contact information.

Hi Everyone! We are all busy this week with beekeeping--we are trying to help everyone that is asking for help. We are trying to send out people to catch all the swarms. We are trying to plan your upcoming meetings and we are trying to keep our own bee yards well.

I would like to request that if you are asking for help from us, please take time to volunteer with us on other projects. Take time to participate. Make an effort to attend our meetings and our programs.

Please don't be a lurker on this group, and then call for help without ever having been to a meeting. We are not able to provide private beekeeping lessons at your location and then never see you again.

Please be a good club member by showing up and offering help, because we have multiple positions that could use new blood. :)

Nothing harsh intended. Just realize that this is the busy season for all beekeepers in the area. Many hands make the work light!

Don't forget that we will have a swap meet/garage sale at the beginning of our April meeting. We will be gathering at Pavilion B, NOT AT THE NATURE CENTER, due to early voting. Bring any beekeeping equip you'd like to swap or sell. We'll use the parking lot as our staging area. Of course, this is weather dependent.
