📢 Hey friends, I need your help and advice! I've been dealing with chronic headaches and nausea since 1970, and for years, I found relief with a pain medication called Percodan. However, my new doctors, following certain guidelines, have decided to discontinue this medication and switch me to a more expensive migraine medication with potentially severe side effects.
I understand the concern about opioid addiction, but the warnings that came with the pain medication were clear and manageable. The new medications pose risks that can't be detected until it's too late, as I've sadly witnessed in my own family.
When I expressed my concerns and asked for a reasonable consultation to discuss my care plan, things took a turn for the worse. My words were twisted, and I even faced threats. Changing doctors doesn't seem like a viable option since the new notes on my record might lead to similar decisions.
So here I am, reaching out to my social media family for any ideas or suggestions on how I can get back to the care plan that was working for me back in January 2023. I welcome all positive comments and even constructive criticism. Your support means the world to me! 🙏
