Fall shopping = officially complete at ! 🛍️

We already did our back-to-school shopping, but as always, we somehow forgot a few fall essentials—and FlatIron Crossing had us covered on all fronts!

From new fall shoes at Journeys, to stocking up on affordable basics and graphic tees at Old Navy, checking out the brand-new Garage Clothing for me (OBSESSED 😍), and grabbing everything we need for everyday wear and sports at DICK'S Sporting Goods, we were able to knock out so much in one shopping trip.

This is also the first year that all three of my boys are really into shopping and fashion, and honestly, it has been SO much fun seeing their personalities and individual styles come out!

Do the road trip. Take the flight. Get on the train. Meet your people somewhere in the middle.

My sister and I each drove 7 hours to meet in Lincoln, Nebraska for a long weekend and a Zach Bryan concert.

We ate, drank, shopped and then headed to the concert despite the DOWNPOUR of rain. 😂

The concert was supposed to start at 7pm. It started at MIDNIGHT.

We waited inside the Cornhuskers practice facility for over FOUR HOURS. Half the people gave up and went home, but we stayed strong. 😂

And thank GOD we did.

I think the actual concert lasted maybe 45 minutes. It poured for most of it. There was lightning. We were soaked. And somehow… it was the TIME OF OUR LIVES. ⚡️🤍

Totally worth it.

Beckham STILL talks about this trip all the time—and this was back in April. Yes, I’m a little late to post. 😂

Point being: make the effort. Take the trip. Stay through the rain. Laugh when nothing goes according to plan.

Because sometimes the trips that go completely off the rails end up being the ones you talk about forever. 🤍

72 HOURS IN FREDERICKSBURG 💓 definitely wasn’t enough to see it all, but it WAS enough to fall in love with this adorable little town. We had the best time doing all the things — w**eries, shopping, bubbles + way too many pictures 🤣 — and here’s just a little taste of our girls’ trip! 🍾✨

BROOKE’S BUBBLE BUS 🚌🥂 A MUST!!

We booked the Rolls-Royce limousine and had the BEST time. It was just the four of us, but it can fit up to 10! We paid $99/person for 4 hours and spent the afternoon w**ery hopping, w**e tasting and safely getting from one shenanigan to the next. 🤣🥂 Such an easy, fun + SAFE way to do the w**eries without worrying about driving. Ch*****ne flutes + the cutest pink glasses provided. 💓 SO worth it!

📍 BLUMENTHAL FARMS 🍷

Probably my personal FAVORITE w**ery stop of the trip. The space is big, bright + beautiful, the staff was WONDERFUL, and I loved that they had w**e AND specialty cocktails. Espresso martini + Bloody Mary at a w**ery?! YES PLEASE. 🤣

I honestly could have spent hours here. We only had about 1.5 hours scheduled and I was NOT ready to leave. Thankfully we did though, or I might still be there. 🤣 They also have putting greens + pickleball, which is such a fun twist on your typical w**ery stop!

📍 WILDFLOWER SALOON 🤠

Located at Blumenthal Farms and SUCH a fun little find. The decor is so funky + fun and there are cute photo ops everywhere. Karaoke, shotskis, chambongs + a vibe that’s equal parts Texas w**e country and a fun night out. 🥂 We stopped in for pictures, but sadly there wasn’t anyone working the bar while we were there, so no shotskis for us….NEXT TIME 😂

DOWNTOWN FREDERICKSBURG 🛍️

Main Street is SO cute and filled with shops, restaurants, tasting rooms and the cutest little spots everywhere you look. We didn’t shop nearly enough or even come close to seeing everything downtown has to offer — but what we DID see made us fall in love. Honestly, we may need another trip just to shop Main Street! 👛

BROOKE’S BUBBLE BAR 🪩🍾

I saw this place on IG and it’s honestly one of the reasons I HAD to visit Fredericksburg. All things pink, glittery + FUN — basically my kind of place. 💓 Such a cute spot for a girls’

This Protein Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake might just be my new favorite summer treat! 🍓🥛✨

I took one of my favorite summer desserts and turned it into a creamy, protein-packed milkshake using Meadow Gold Protein Milk—and it tastes just like strawberry shortcake in milkshake form!

FOR THE MILKSHAKE:
🍓2 cups Meadow Gold Protein Milk
🍓1 cup frozen strawberries
🍓1 cup vanilla ice cream or frozen vanilla yogurt
🍓1 tsp vanilla extract
🍓1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
🍓4–5 shortbread cookies, crushed

Blend everything together until smooth and creamy!

HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM:

🍓1 cup Meadow Gold Heavy Whipping Cream
🍓1–2 tbsp powdered sugar
🍓1 tsp vanilla

Whip together until soft or stiff peaks form.

Then put it all together: strawberry milkshake → homemade whipped cream → crushed
shortbread cookies → fresh strawberry on top - and ENJOY!

Easy, delicious, and the perfect way to turn a summer classic into a protein-packed treat. ☀️🍓

48 hours in the No. 1 Best Small Town in the West — Palisade, CO 🍑🍷

It was our first time visiting and will 100% not be our last. Palisade was equally fun for kids and adults alike, and we packed our weekend with w**eries, the farmers market, swimming, and hanging out at the cutest, most family-friendly Airbnb.

🍷 Carboy Winery — beautiful views, great w**e, food, live music, and yard games for the kids. Plenty of space to hang out and enjoy the afternoon.

🍇 Restoration Vineyards — live music, food trucks, lawn games, and such a fun atmosphere. Also, I have NEVER been a white w**e girl… until I tried their Gewürztraminer. Consider me converted. 😂

💙 The Blue Beryl Winery — smaller, laid-back, and such a cute stop with the prettiest Palisade views. One of those places you could easily sit and stay awhile. And the sangria??? SO good. Yard games + popsicles for the kids too!

🍑 Palisade Sunday Farmers Market — SO fun and vibrant! Local produce, Palisade peaches, food, unique local vendors, and live music.

🏡 AIRBNB — Palisade Peach Orchard Farmhouse — 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a pool, hot tub, basketball hoop, ping pong, and a peach orchard, all in the heart of Palisade w**e and peach country! It has the cutest old farmhouse vibes, which is right up my alley. Link pinned in the comments!

Soaked up the last days of summer with hours by the pool. ☀️💦

Two days definitely wasn’t enough. 🍑🍷 Already planning our next trip back to Palisade!

The DC Super Hero Summer at the Ga***rd Rockies is such a fun way to spend a few days together. The kids were entertained from morning to night with all the superhero activities, while we actually got to relax and enjoy some downtime too.

Between the pools, great food, all the family fun, and the excitement of DC Super Hero Summer, it really feels like you’ve left Colorado without ever leaving Colorado. We made so many sweet family memories, and I already know we’ll be back before summer is over. ❤️
