Today was cloudy and cool (high 70s), so it was a great day for a hive dive. Both colonies are thriving! Our top bar hive is busy building. We gave them a little more space and definitely found the queen. The Langstroth colony is booming, with an almost full honey super. We didn't spot that queen, but it is obvious that she is there-she is a bit elusive. Time to add another box!

Wishing a happiest 3rd birthday to this amazing pack of pups, from our crew in Maryland to their five sisters in Texas! A grand bash with smashburgers and fro-yo pup cups was thrown in their honor!

A year ago today, about 5 hours ago we finally made it to our new home in Maryland. Exhausted, with 9 pups very tired of being in the car(s), 30 hours after we initially hit the road. Now, we are all snuggled on the couch, watching the Cowboys, and waiting for a snowstorm. What a great year it has been. The making of new friends and new adventures, BUT missing our Texas friends...the only downside. Dad, thank you for making that journey with us. It meant the world to us both. Love you all!
