If you see a deer or other animal entangled in holiday lights, you can call *277 from your cell phone. Call 911 for wildlife attacks on humans or vehicle crashes, but animals who are injured, stuck, or in need of immediate assistance are appropriate for *277. That is the Colorado State Patrol non-emergency line. Dispatchers will send the right agency for that incident. This photo is courtesy of Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

The control burn west of Hwy 9 in Blue River is very visible tonight. There is no threat of the piles spreading, there is over a foot of snow around them.

The piles will continue to burn down throughout the night. Please, do not call 911.
