A few sprinkles may move through northwest Missouri Friday morning, but it should dry out by evening for high school football.

Temps will be in the 70s at kickoff for our Game of the Week in Faucett. It falls into the 60s by the end of the game, with a northeast wind at 5 to 10 mph.

The low dropped to 39°. It marked the first time we’ve been in the 30s this fall.

Most locations picked up around a quarter of an inch of rain over the past two days.

The higher totals were near U.S. Route 36 in St. Joseph and Cameron. Jackpot amounts were on the south side of St. Joe, where some gauges recorded well over an inch.

It’s harvest moon time! The full harvest moon will rise Monday night in the eastern sky. Unlike other full moons, its name isn’t tied to a specific month but to the season. It's given to the full moon closest to the fall equinox. In 2025, October’s full moon earns that title for the first time since 2020.

This year’s harvest moon is also the first of three supermoons in 2025. It will appear up to 16% brighter and 7% larger than an average full moon.

Viewing conditions will be poor across northwest Missouri due to a passing cold front and increasing clouds.

A long stretch of mainly dry weather has ended across parts of the area as a cold front is moving southeast at a snail's pace. Off-and-on rain showers will gradually sag southward this evening and may continue into the overnight hours for some.
