Camera Operator

Browning Productions & Entertainment, Inc (BP&E) is looking for a talented and versatile Camera Operator to join its expanding in-house production team.
We are seeking a strong, experienced Operator for a in-house position filming many of our nationally distributed television series.

Responsibilities

The Camera Operator should be proficient in the use of multiple UHD digital cameras, but most importantly RED Cameras, as well as, the following camera skill sets, Hand Held, Gimbal, Dana Dolly, Jibs, Drones, Tripod, Sliders, etc… The Camera Operator should know all of its electronic features, such as safe settings on the viewfinder, image controls (brightness, contrast, etc.), intercom and filter settings. The candidate should also be proficient in performing various pedestal moves, including dolly, truck and boom. They should possess basic knowledge of camera functions, such as zoom, focus, pan, and tilt as well as familiarity with lens functions (i.e. back focus and the location/use of macro).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensure equipment related to the day’s assignment is in working order such as studio camera, ENG camera, light kits, microphones, media, etc.
• Follow Show Director’s commands and react appropriately on set with scenarios when unscripted situations develop.
• Work within our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines when it comes to safety in the workplace.
• Follow daily protocols when it comes to punctuality, timesheets, and responsibilities.
• Cross train in other technical production areas to broaden skill set. Any training must be discussed with the Head of Operations prior to doing so to ensure proper communication and planning.
• Work and foster a team environment and help out in all areas of Technical Production.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Television Production, or related and 2+ years of experience in a television production environment, or an equivalent experience.
• Must have at least 5 years Camera experience.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
• Ability to multi-task in a live and fluid environment.
• Exhibit the interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization within various departments.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Mac iOS and editing softwares like Adobe Premiere.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, late breaking news and hurricane emergencies.
• Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
• Must be willing to travel, sometimes on short notice. Must be able to travel internationally.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, frequent standing.

Desired Characteristics

• ENG/EFP experience and knowledge to include camera, lighting & audio.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.

The day to day responsibilities of a B2B Insides Sales Executive includes
• Research to understand relevant market and business challenges aligned with the subject area of each TV series, and often the industry of that programming
• Strategy, development, design, pricing and positioning of solutions
• Oversight of full sales cycle of each series, managing baseline business metrics and growth targets
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key alliances who you will be tasked to bring on board as a sponsor, it’s key to uncover a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives in order to provide ROI and build a relationship that has longevity and value for both sides
• Deliver outstanding service through client management and coordination with production teams to ensure deliverables are met both by BP&E and each client, this ensures continued sales in basic customer service and support
• Consistently maintain and improve the company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Work closely with a vivacious and ambitious team, sharing sales techniques with your colleagues in regular brain storming sessions to collectively drive the business forward

Broadcast Television Editor

Browning Productions & Entertainment, Inc (BP&E) is looking for a talented and versatile Editor to join its expanding in-house production team.

We are seeking a strong, experienced Editor for a in-house position editing many of our nationally distributed television series. Must have thorough knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with knowledge of color correction, graphics, and audio sweetening. Must have strong story telling skills and be very fast on the system. Must have a thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of editing & delivering to broadcast standards. Applicants must be extremely well organized, motivated and flexible with schedule (deadlines are extremely important in this industry). A strict adherence to the post workflow is a must.

Additionally, applicants must be pro-active in edit to keep projects moving forward. We are looking for someone with a positive, energetic do-whatever-it-takes attitude that works collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced, creative environment.

DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TV EDITING EXPERIENCE RECENTLY (Internships are available for those with lesser experience.)
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Non-linear video editing and rendering/encoding for a wide spectrum of specifications and file formats
• Gathering of b-roll assets, researching and editing stock music tracks
• Motion graphics manipulation and creation
• Collaborating with creative team or working independently on concurrent projects to meet deadlines
• Solid storytelling and conceptual skills
• Strong ability to cut video to music and audio engineer to specs all sound tracks
• Excellent video editing skills that include an ability to create dynamic graphics and animation
• Strong knowledge of color correction/grading including using waveform monitor/vectorscope
• Strong familiarity with broadcast specs and deliverables
• Must have strong time management and problem solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well under tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-3+ years of Editing and Post-Production experience
-Must be comfortable with Abobe Primere and other Adobe softwares
-Familiar with working in RAW Digital formats like R3D files for RED cameras in 4-6K Resolutions
-Work well with others in a creative environment
-Should be able to bring a creative concept to life and add own creative input
-Producing and on-set production experience is beneficial
-Familiar with Broadcast Standards for network groups like A&E, Discovery, FOX, Viacom, etc...
