The City of Miramar is calling on residents to help families affected by devastating earthquakes in Venezuela through a citywide humanitarian relief campaign. Recognizing the close ties between Miramar and South Florida’s Venezuelan community, the city has partnered with Global Empowerment Mission, an international disaster-relief organization, to collect essential supplies and deliver them to impacted communities. Residents can contribute nonperishable food, bottled water, batteries, blankets, first-aid kits, hand sanitizer and other hygiene products....
