Our Story
Why is Brazil the most passionate soccer nation on earth?
Beautiful Game is a four-part television documentary series for worldwide television distribution in the months leading up to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Our mini-series will tell unique stories about sports and culture that have universal appeal and can be retold again and again. Its broad arc is an account of a team, a nation, and a game through which so many people live and express their lives and passions.
Our method is careful research and dramatic story telling about people and their expressions of joy, obsession, greatness, passion, athleticism, and identity. We employ exclusive footage of legends who played the game, and some who did not. However all have had lives that changed somehow because of this beautiful game.
Revealing commentary from influential sports figures, political, business, and cultural leaders, trend makers, people on the street, soccer executives, and soccer supporters. We explore the culture of Brazil, art, artifacts, music, history to understand why the game of futébol is so important, not only to Brazilians but the world.
Ultimately, we celebrate how Brazil, more than any other nation, shares its energy, skills, music, color, and passion with a global soccer community, and how that community––from Mexico to Morocco, Argentina to Australia, and Ecuador to England––identifies with, and has been influenced by Brazil.
