Officially completed the Paid 2 Present accelerator program!!! 🥹🎓💙🎉 This is the first time in awhile I’ve invested in my professional development and I’m having a proud moment!

Yesterday I shared my new professional headshot, but today I wanted to highlight the raw and real parts of this. No make up and all. 😂

While getting my certificate felt really special, so much of what made this experience meaningful happened in the behind-the-scenes moments no one really sees: bouncing around ideas, asking hard questions, refining my message, and doing the work to build a keynote that can truly make an impact.

The truth is, building something meaningful happens in the messy middle.

Public speaking has always been a long-term goal of mine, and completing this program feels really meaningful. I’m proud of myself for showing up for this season of growth and investing in myself in a new way.

Chris & Dustin brought so much honesty, insight, encouragement, and realness to this process. They challenged me, helped me think deeper, and pushed me in the best ways. I’m so grateful for their mentorship and everything I learned along the way.

So grateful for this experience and really excited for what’s next 🥹Thank you for all of your support!!!

Disability advocates deserve to be paid to speak fairly!

For more than 7 years, I’ve shared my story online - sharing my lived experience with cerebral palsy and speaking openly about topics that are deeply important to me, like accessibility and inclusion. But over the last year, I started feeling called to deepen that impact beyond social media and step into public speaking in a bigger way.

When I learned about Paid 2 Present (), a professional development cohort for inclusion-based speakers, it honestly felt like I found out about it at one of the most pivotal moments in my career.

Over the last 12 weeks, Chris & Dustin ( ) helped me better understand what it actually takes to become a professional speaker - from developing my keynote, to understanding the industry, building confidence in my expertise, and learning how to create a sustainable speaking business and an additional stream of income rooted in impact.

What made the experience even more valuable was being part of a community of other inclusion advocates while learning from mentors who truly understand this work and the speaking industry.

As disability advocates, we spend years educating people through lived experience. Getting paid fairly to speak about that work isn’t “extra” - it’s equity.

If you’re interested in growing your impact through speaking this year, I really recommend connecting with Chris & Dustin. I’ll leave a link in the comments if you want to learn more 💛

Day 8 of 🍽️

Tonight wasn’t really about cerebral palsy but just a glimpse into what an average night at home can look like for me.

Cooking dinner and then getting an emergency phone call from my sister right in the middle of filming... and somehow still finishing the video 😂

Sometimes this series is about adaptation. Sometimes it’s just real life!

Day 7 of 🌿

South Florida friends! what parks should I check out next? 👀

I took Scootz to explore Markham Park and found a trail to see if it was accessible.

Getting out in nature and unplugging is something I always try to prioritize, and lately I’ve been turning it into a little adventure by finding local parks and seeing what actually works for me.

I’m hoping to do this more often! If you like watching these little adventures let me know in the comments. :)
