With the 2024-2025 broadcasting season officially behind us, we'd like to take a moment to give some appreciation and highlight some big moments from the season.
First of all, we'd like to thank our student-crew for the hard work they gave us to make another fantastic season happen! Our six superstar students have been delightful to work with this season and I look forward to teaming up with many of them again next year! We'd especially like to thank our lone senior Mr. Brandt Beech for all of the work that he put in both on-air and behind-the-scenes over his five years with Pirate Pride Productions! Thank you Beechie, and best of luck at Central Michigan!
Another big factor in making a broadcasting season happen is funding. We'd like to take one final opportunity to thank our sponsors for the 2024-2025 season...

Additionally, we'd like to thank our two partners for the 2024-2025 season. We appreciate Harlee Pohl from HP Designs & Photography for designing the new and improved logos that were used on our broadcasts and merchandise during this past season. Also, we'd like to thank Nathan Buckley with Nathan Buckley Sportscasting for providing video elements to use in our broadcasts, including our sponsorship video. We'd also like to extend our appreciation to Mr. Jesse Thelen with JT5 Media for designing the 3P banners that can be found in the fieldhouse and football stadium.
Next, we'd like to thank those who made the broadcasting season possible from P-W Schools, including Mrs. Goodman, Mr. Portenga, Mr. Miller, and many others. We especially appreciate Mr. Troy Forton and his crew of volunteers that help out within the athletic department. Without them, our season would not be possible. We'd also like to thank the Pirate coaches and athletes for allowing us to work alongside of them and bring you the Pirate sports you love so much!
Last but certainly not least, we'd like to thank Pirate Nation for their support and patronage to our program. Your passion for Pirate athletics is what fuels our broadcasting program. Without your viewership, our hard work would mean nothing. It is truly an honor to serve our community in such an impactful way!
Finally, let's talk about some of our big moments from this season! Pirate Pride Productions broadcasted a total of 76 events this season and saw a viewership total of 6,942 views and an average of 91 views per event. Our highest streamed event was the Varsity Boys Basketball game against Fowler on February 4th with a total of 327 viewers. Other big events included the Varsity Boys Basketball games against Laingsburg (144 views) and Grand Blanc (175 views), the Junior Varsity Boys Basketball game against Fowler (136 views), the Varsity Girls Basketball game against Fowler (120 views), both Varsity Girls Basketball district games against Delton-Kellogg (125 views) and GR NorthPointe (175 views), and the Class of 2025 graduation ceremony (256 views). We were also proud to bring the Game of the Year between the Pirates and Cougars to the NFHS Network once again this season!
One final notable event from the year was our field trip to FanDuel Sports Network in Southfield. Our student crew was able to tour the studio, speak with some of their top on-air studio talents and production personnel, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the broadcast of a Detroit Red Wings road game, including their pre-game show! We'd like to thank FanDuel Sports Network for allowing us to experience broadcasting on a regional level!
As we move ahead into the 2025-2026 broadcasting season, our priority is set on renewing sponsorships, recruiting students to join our crew, and preparing for the fall sports portion of our broadcasting season. This includes continuing to solve the problems that impaired our football broadcasts last season. We will keep you posted on that progress as it comes along.
Thanks for another excellent season, Pirate Nation! We appreciate your support and look forward to serving you again next season! Onward Pirates!!
