In 2009, I was hired to build and run a Performing Arts program for Westmark School in California. A freshman girl with a sparkly personality, quick wit, and excellent stage presence became one of my star students, playing lead roles in both dramas and musicals. We developed a close connection that lasted years beyond her graduation.

This weekend, I had the absolute joy of witnessing her wedding. What’s more, she invited my two little ones to participate in the ceremony. The weekend was filled with so many smiles, including time spent with other students from that most precious time in my life. These were my first children, and they’ve all grown up to become amazing young adults.

Westmark School, I never could have imagined the many blessings that reverberated from the time spent there.

Sheridan Pallicer, what a gift it has been to watch you grow into the beautiful, capable woman and mother you are today. You still sparkle, inside and out!

When I was 14 years old, I began voice lessons with an incredible woman, Joyce Keshner. She taught me how to find my voice, how to breathe, how to connect to a song, but most importantly, she taught me how live in the world as a sensitive artist. Joyce, every play I direct, every student I teach, every song I sing begins with you. Happy Birthday
