The Eclectic Observer The Eclectic Observer is the community newspaper of Eclectic, Ala. Our offices are located in Alexander City, Alabama.

The paper was founded in 1988 and publishes weekly with The Wetumpka Herald and The Tallassee Tribune. The Eclectic Observer is a weekly newspaper covering events and interests in the central Alabama town of Eclectic. Published each Thursday by Tallapoosa Publishers, Inc., The Observer covers news, government, lifestyles and sports for the town's residents and admirers.

A complex of severe thunderstorms caused wind damage across various locations in central Alabama (downed trees, some blocking roadways and onto residences). We are working to log the extent of this event, but what we have so far is seen on the map below.
