B'n'M Fishing has taken a fan favorite and made it even tougher! The Silver Cat Magnum—already known for its unbeatable combo of sensitivity, backbone and affordability—has been redesigned with serious upgrades:
• Stainless-steel guides
• Aluminum reel seat
• X-grip EVA foam handle

These 10-foot beasts still deliver that strong parabolic action you love, but now they’re built to take even more punishment from big cats. Check out the full article by Keith “Catfish” Sutton in the latest issue of CatfishNOW to get all the details on this rod revamp!

The folks who fish the tailwaters downstream from major hydroelectric dams (particularly on the Tennessee River) must constantly deal with fluctuating water levels and flow. Since Mother Nature plays such a large and fickle role in providing water for these major systems, it if often impossible to plan for particular patterns more than a few days in advance. Sometimes it can even change on an hourly basis. Capt. Richard Simms shares tips from several catfish experts on how they adapt when Mother Nature (or their local power company) throws them a curve ball.

Planer boards have quickly become a go-to tool for serious catfish anglers. Originally popular in the walleye world, they’re now widely used to boost success when dragging for catfish.
Using Off Shore Tackle Company planer boards is one of the best ways to widen your spread — just run one or two boards off each side of the boat. The added coverage helps locate active fish faster and increases hook-ups.
