VIDEÓ OUT FRIDAY on YouTube.

The footage documented above captures a visit to one of the filming locations used in Breaking Bad — specifically the residence used as the home of DEA agent Hank Schrader, portrayed by Dean Norris. Located within the desert outskirts surrounding Albuquerque, the area sits near protected wilderness regions including Petroglyph National Monument, known for its volcanic terrain, steep elevation, native wildlife, and dense cactus fields that define the landscape of the American Southwest.

The journey to reach the location involved navigating unstable desert trails, sharp cactus terrain, extreme heat, and constant awareness of rattlesnakes hidden throughout the rocks and brush. What appears cinematic on screen revealed itself in reality as raw, isolated terrain shaped by the harsh geography that became visually synonymous with the series itself. The visit took place while filming a vlog and shooting photography for September’s Rich during tour travels through New Mexico, with one of the photographs later becoming official cover artwork.

Created by Vince Gilligan and starring Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad premiered in 2008 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest television dramas ever produced. The series earned 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and transformed Albuquerque into an internationally recognized filming destination, with its cinematography and use of the New Mexico desert helping redefine the visual identity of modern television.

Cabo Verde (ˈkɑːboʊ ˈvɜːrdeɪ) — An island nation of volcanic origin in the central Atlantic Ocean, off the western coast of West Africa, officially known as Cape Verde. Comprising ten islands, the terrain is marked by rugged mountains, arid plains, and active volcanic formations, including Mount Fogo.

Originally uninhabited, the islands were colonized by Portugal in the 15th century, becoming a key Atlantic crossroads. The population developed a distinct Creole identity shaped by African and European influences, expressed through language (Kriolu), social customs, and diaspora ties that now exceed the population on the islands themselves.

Cabo Verdean culture is widely recognized for its music, particularly morna and coladeira, styles characterized by melancholic melodies and rhythmic fusion, globally associated with artists such as Cesária Évora. Traditional cuisine reflects resourcefulness and maritime life, with dishes such as cachupa—a slow-cooked mix of corn, beans, vegetables, and meats or fish—considered a national staple, alongside fresh seafood and locally produced grogue, a sugarcane-based spirit.

Less widely known is the nation’s historical role as a cultural and migratory bridge between Africa, Europe, and the Americas, as well as its resilience in adapting to limited natural resources, frequent droughts, and geographic isolation. Today, Cabo Verde is noted for its political stability, strong global diaspora, and enduring cultural influence disproportionate to its size.

ARC Raiders is a third-person PvPvE extraction shooter set in a retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic world where players take on the role of “Raiders” leaving an underground colony to scavenge the surface. Each run is high-risk, high-reward: deploy, loot valuable resources, complete objectives, and reach extraction points before the timer runs out. Failure means losing most of what was collected during that raid, with only limited items saved in secure slots.

The surface is controlled by aggressive ARC machines such as Ticks and Bombardiers, alongside hostile player squads competing for the same loot. Encounters are unpredictable, blending PvE survival pressure with PvP combat tension in large open environments inspired by settings like the Rust Belt.

Progression is centered around a hub called Speranza, where players craft gear, sell resources, upgrade perks, and advance through seasonal content systems. A dynamic “aggression score” matchmaking system influences the intensity of PvP encounters, allowing for both more controlled runs or higher-chaos engagements depending on playstyle. The experience sits in the same genre space as Escape from Tarkov and The Division’s Dark Zone, but with a more stylized, accessible design approach.

This gameplay context is paired with a transition from controller to mouse and keyboard input. Controller gameplay typically relies on analog movement and aim assist for smoother targeting and accessibility, while mouse and keyboard offers raw input precision, faster aiming potential, and greater control over recoil and micro-adjustments. The tradeoff comes in complexity—keybind management, movement coordination, and mechanical adaptation require a learning curve before full efficiency is reached.

Despite being early in the transition, high-level performance in combat situations demonstrates how mouse and keyboard can unlock higher mechanical ceilings over time, even while still adapting to the increased difficulty of input control.

Gooning is an internet slang term for engaging in prolonged, hours-long solo activity, often combined with intense adult content use and “edging” (stopping right before the finish) to reach a trance-like state. Originally tied to a niche online community, it’s evolved into a broader term for obsessive behavior, sometimes used casually to describe being extremely locked in or hyped about something.

Usage Examples & Context
Intimate Context: Often used in online forums to describe being “in the zone,” a state of high stimulation and reduced inhibition.
General Slang Usage: Can also mean being obsessed with something, like “I’ve been gooning over this new video game all week.”
Performance Aspect: Sometimes describes an over-the-top, almost chaotic style of solo engagement.

Synonyms and Related Terms
Edging: The more mainstream technique involved.
Cooming/Coomer: Related slang for obsessive behavior.
Ta***ic Solo Practice: A more mindful or extended version of similar habits.
Beating around / Doing your thing: General slang alternatives depending on context.

Key Aspects of Gooning
Trance-like state: Often described as hypnotic or blissful.
Digital Immersion: Usually involves screens, media, or online spaces.
Not a Diagnosis: While it can be a form of personal expression, it may also reflect compulsive tendencies in some cases.

The term is mostly used in meme culture, online spaces, and casual conversation rather than formal or professional settings.
