I'm putting my second DVX100 out to pasture. It had 1358 operation hours and served me well over the years. A third and fourth DVX100 remains in the lineup. Thanks to Joe Rivers for assisting with an upgrade.

The Sony RM440 3/4" U-Matic VTR Editing System as it appeared in 1986. Note the Microtime TBC units, Panasonic Switcher, a Realistic audio mixer and three color Trinitrons. There were four VHS recorders wired together for duplication. The system was good for off-line edits. Motion effects and graphics had to be done elsewhere.

Saying goodbye to the old Sony RM440 VTR Editing Console that has followed me around since 1984. It was last in operation some 10 plus years ago. I have saved the controller as a conversation piece. I cut miles of 3/4" tape on this configuration back in the early part of my career. Those were awesome times.

Thank you, Judge Wapner. You set the path. Because of you I have had the pleasure of being part of "The People's Court" field staff for nearly 14 years. I've been allowed to work my craft while at the same time having the privilege to interact with the human race on both a professional and personal level. Your style brought a theme and genre to media culture that remains strong to this day. And I am grateful. God speed, Sir.

Finished the first cut of footage I shot in 1985 using a Sony M-3 tube camera: Ronnie Lane and Ian McLagan performing a benefit show in Houston, TX. I only recently digitized the original 3/4" U-Matic tape and will now archive the material for posterity.
