El Campo ISD Transition Fair – Friday Jan. 31, El Campo Civic Center • 2350 N. Mechanic.
The fair provides parents/guardians with information about their students and the transition process from schools, college or the workforce. For ages 3+. Whether your student is transitioning from home to school, from one school (grade) to another or from school into the work world, we have resources that may assist you – work sources, colleges, day habs, legal aid, guardianship – ust to name a few.

Saint Robert’s hall at 512 Tegner, El Campo, will be open starting Monday morning at 8 a.m. as a warming center for anyone who needs to come and warmup. They will have some cots available for those choosing to stay overnight. There is no reason anyone should be cold this week. Please share so the community of El Campo knows. Thank you and God bless.

Wharton County ELECTION RETURNS
Incumbent Sheriff Shannon Srubar wins another term in office beating Ben Guanajuato 11,600 to 4,429.
In the Louise ISD races, three of four incumbents running for five positions collected another term:
-- Position 2: Chad Hajovsky (i) 618, Christopher Faas 296 and Elisa Garcia 127.
--Position 3: Blake Roehl (i) 690, Fred Ochoa Sr. 335.
--Position 5: Gary Yackel 585, Amanda Cox (i) 461.
--Position 6: Stephen Lutringer (i) 627, Tim Garcia 407.
--Position 7: Tori Koudela 640, Linda Alderson 409.
City of East Bernard:
For sales tax for street repairs 1,049, Against 202.
