It's Official!!!! The International Red Brangus Breeders Association will be sending 80 bulls to Gonzales, Texas on December 7th, 2025 for evaluation as part of the 2026 Red Brangus Bull program.

It's Official!!!! The International Red Brangus Breeders Association will be sending 80 bulls to Gonzales, Texas on December 7th, 2025 for evaluation as part of the 2026 Red Brangus Bull program. The bulls will undergo a rigorous 140-day gain test, followed by an ultrasound scan at the end of the test period. This comprehensive evaluation process enables buyers to purchase these bulls with confidence during the last weekend in October or the first weekend in November 2026. We will provide buyers with a range of data, including average daily gains, intramuscular fat, rib eye area, fat, and rump fat scores. The demand for Red Brangus Bulls is exceptionally high, and we believe that this evaluation will demonstrate their value. We have always liked animals with an ‘Easy Keeping’ or ‘Easy Feeding’ look—but what do those animals really have or look like?

They tend to be bolder and deeper in their rib and body, with some softness (or fat cover) over their rib. They tend to be smooth and blend their pieces well from end to end.

But a lot of the time they also tend to be more moderate in their frame, and have less extension to their body or spine. Because of that, we can also read them as ‘quick’ or ‘early maturing’ sometimes.

We like to think that maybe this body type reads more efficient and could be more economical to put into production.”
