🚨 RARE RED SPRITES JUST FILMED OVER TIBET — AND THEY’RE STRANGER THAN YOU THINK 😱
These massive red flashes appeared high above thunderstorms in Tibet, lasting only milliseconds. They’re called “red sprites” — enormous electrical discharges that shoot up from the tops of storms into the upper atmosphere.
They’re extremely difficult to capture because they’re so fast and high up. Most people have never seen one in real life.
Scientists still don’t fully understand them. Some believe they’re just natural electrical events. Others quietly wonder if these upper-atmosphere phenomena are more connected to the planet’s changing systems than we’re being told.
Either way, catching them on camera over Tibet is rare — and this footage is striking.
