The Bulldogs sweep Burns (25-17, 25-12, 25-5) this afternoon to earn a spot in the consolation championship later this evening.

The Wheatland girls fell in the semifinals to Douglas Friday evening in four sets. The Bulldogs will square off against the winner of the Burns/Buffalo matchup today at 12:30, with a spot in the state tournament on the line.

The Wheatland Lady Bulldogs opened up 3A East Regional play with a three-set sweep over Glenrock (25-15, 25-20, 25-13) this afternoon. With the victory, the Bulldogs advance to tonight's semifinals where they will square off against Douglas at 6:45.

Three weeks ago, the lights nearly went out on community journalism in Wyoming. Thanks to a new locally owned partnership, the Platte County Record-Times is alive again—and we’re building for the future.

We are seeking a working news reporter to join our newsroom in Wheatland. This is a hands-on role: writing stories, shooting photographs, mentoring a small but dedicated staff, and shaping the coverage that keeps Platte County informed and connected.

What You’ll Do:
Report on schools, government, courts, businesses, and community life
Shoot photos that capture the spirit of Platte County
Be part of a small, but committed newsroom staff
Work closely with publishers who are invested in Wyoming’s future
