RESTORATION - PART TWO
Do you sometimes feel like I do, that much of life may have already passed, that you may have lost the opportunity to accomplish certain things?
Consider Joseph in the text below:
Genesis 41:51 - Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, "For God," he said, "has made me forget all my trouble and all my father's house."
Joseph commemorated his RESTORATION by naming his first child Manasseh, meaning:
1. The present reward or breakthrough covers everything that was delayed, withheld, or stolen. That's why you would forget everything you felt was lost.
2. It happens sometimes effortlessly. Joseph was released from prison and enthroned without doing anything. His faithfulness, the injustice, hatred, and misfortunes were rewarded at long last.
3. It can be spontaneous. Joseph was freed from prison, given a wife, and promoted as Prime Minister. It was like a chain reaction.
4. Opposition usually is non-existent. It might have felt very strange to Joseph, for the first time in 13 years, how everything was falling in place without resistance.
5. It may be shockingly surprising. The system that denied Joseph justice later gave him the highest authority of justice. Watch out! The place of your worst experience may be the point of your greatest blessings!
God's RESTORATION makes losses, delays, past sufferings irrelevant.
