We sat down with Ms. Wheelchair Oregon 2025 and what started as a conversation about getting outside quickly became a conversation about something much bigger.

One thing that hit us hard: people with disabilities are disproportionately affected by poverty, creating barriers that most of us never even think about.

These are the conversations that matter. The ones that challenge our assumptions and help us see the world a little differently.

POV: you accidentally find your new comfort podcast 🌲🎙️

Two childhood besties somehow found our way back to the same tiny hometown… and realized we’ve been living in one of the most magical outdoor playgrounds on the planet this whole time.

So naturally… we started an outdoor podcast 😌

Welcome to Go Wildly Podcast. Recorded in the wild, for the wild.

We sit down with guides, advocates, river rats, scientists, mountain bikers, wildfire nerds, paddlers, thru hikers, brand builders, and everyday outdoor legends who built their lives around dirt, rivers, trails, snow, community, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Because everyone has an outdoor story.

Maybe it changed your life.
Maybe it saved your life.
Maybe it simply brought you back to yourself.

We truly believe the outdoors is one of the last places that connects all of us. It’s our common ground. And everybody has a story about how they found it, fell in love with it, or built a life around it.

If you love Southern Oregon, adventure stories, outdoorsy humans, learning cool niche things, or just want a podcast that feels like hanging with your outdoorsy besties…

✨ you have 35+ episodes waiting to binge ✨

Go listen. Come hang. Get wildly obsessed with us (respectfully) 😌

Little Heather’s dreams officially came true 🐻🔥🌲

We have been talking about getting Smokey Bear on the podcast for literally a YEAR. Tracking down where Smokey’s suit even was, contacting public relations, explaining what Go Wildly Podcast is, figuring out schedules, hoping they’d say yes… it became a whole mission honestly 😭

And then it FINALLY happened.

My childhood celebrity. Right there. In real life.

…and I immediately forgot how to function 💀

The plan was simple: confidently sing the Smokey Bear song I used to belt out as a kid. The reality? I completely fumbled it in front of Smokey himself. Fully blacked out. No thoughts. Just panic and secondhand embarrassment 😂

But honestly? It made the moment even better.

Such a surreal full circle moment getting to sit down with Smokey Bear and talk all things forests, wildfire prevention, public lands, and the outdoors with the amazing foresters behind it all. Childhood me would be LOSING HER MIND.

Only YOU can prevent forest fires… and apparently nobody could prevent me from choking under pressure 🫡🔥

We asked Casey Botts what piece of gear he always carries… thinking we’d get a normal recommendation.

He said: an ice ax.

Then immediately goes into a story that had us like hold on… this is NOT casual.

We cut it right before it gets wild — you need the full episode for this one.

Some gear isn’t just gear… sometimes it’s the reason you make it out.

This week on the pod we sat down with Casey Botts, the founder behind Ashland DEVO, and got into how something that started as a simple idea turned into a full-blown youth mountain bike community.

No perfect timing. No master plan. Just a belief that getting kids on bikes matters… and figuring the rest out along the way.

It’s about starting before you feel ready, building as you go, and creating something way bigger than you ever expected.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to start something… this one’s for you.
