We're very sorry to hear about the passing of Music Alive's founder, Milt Okun. An influential producer/arranger, mentor to countless artists, and founder of Cherry Lane Music Publishing, Milt created Music Alive back in 1984 to contribute to the spread of music appreciation in schools. The article below pays a worthy tribute to his invaluable contributions to the music industry.

He shaped the careers of Peter, Paul and Mary, John Denver and even Plácido Domingo.
