NEW YORK JETS SEASON OUTLOOK ✈️

After being grounded for years, the 2026 New York Jets finally look poised to take flight.

Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey upgraded the roster, revamped the coaching staff, and gave this fanbase legitimate reasons for optimism — but two curious offseason decisions leave Gang Green with almost no margin for error.

✈️ Geno Smith, Demario Davis, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and a promising rookie class should make the Jets look like a legitimate, professional football team again.

🦵 The Jets let Nick Folk walk and will open the season with Jason Sanders, who was cut by the Dolphins, Giants, and Jets before being elevated from the practice squad.

🏈 Even more concerning, rookie Cade Klubnik enters the season as the primary insurance policy behind Smith. If Geno goes down early, the Jets could be asking too much of a fourth-round rookie — and putting a promising season at risk.

DEUCE MAN WALKING 🏀

Miles “Deuce” McBride is a New York Knicks success story.
Selected 36th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, Deuce barely played during his first two-plus seasons. Then the Knicks traded Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett, signed McBride to a three-year, $13m extension, and watched him become one of the league’s biggest bargains.

But how much longer will he be a Knick?

🏀 McBride will make just $3.956m this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

🏀 The Knicks already watched Mitchell Robinson leave for a three-year, $47.4m deal with Boston. In today’s NBA, you can’t pay every role player — especially with the second apron looming.

🏀 Leon Rose is still looking for frontcourt depth. If the right young, inexpensive big man becomes available, Deuce could become one of the Knicks’ most valuable trade chips.

👀 My Real Take? I think the Knicks hold on to him and see how the season unfolds. Could he be moved before the Feb. 11 NBA Trade Deadline? Absolutely. But I think there’s a better chance Deuce gets one more playoff run in a Knicks uniform.
